Some recent changes to the program include: The ROE Update screen now includes a check box to allow you to have the comment field print the defined comments on all employee ROE’s. This makes it easier for you to distribute pertinent information for all employees when printing this form. The addition of the About GrandMaster Suite dialog assists you in determining the exact version of the program you have installed. This can be useful if you have a Technical Support issue when checking to see if you have the most up-to-date version of the program. The new "Bank Time" Accumulator Class has been added to allow an automated bank time system for employees. This accumulator can be used to limit the number of banked hours paid on a list of earnings to a maximum number of banked hours per pay calculation. You have the option to bank all keyed hours/units or define a specific maximum of hours/units to be paid on the current calculation. When banked hours exceed the stated maximum, the hours keyed for those earnings will be added to the “Bank Time” accumulator. As technology continuously advances in today's industries, time is becoming an increasingly valuable asset to employers. Why mail a letter when you can e-mail? Why order software when you can download? The broadening utilization of computers is guiding business to claim easy access, instant results and self-sufficiency. This is exactly what a Canadian company is offering with its new payroll system called eNETPayroll. Canadian Payroll Systems Inc. (CPS) located in Winnipeg, Manitoba has developed eNETPayroll, a payroll system that is accessed through the Internet. "We recognized that the Internet is increasingly becoming the way in which companies do business," said Lyle Scammell, president of CPS. "From buying and selling to banking, people are becoming more enlightened to, and comfortable with using the Internet as a tool for business rather than just for browsing or entertainment. So what better forum to develop payroll software than the e-marketplace". eNETPayroll has all the functionality of a PC-based payroll program. This includes the ability to define company information such as company name and address, contacts, control information, CCRA & Quebec accounts, manage groups, manage users, setup templates, define functions, earnings, deductions and benefits, accumulators, WCBs, health, EFTs and distributions. You can also set up employee names and addresses, payroll information, change ratios, enter hours, etc. -- everything you need to calculate a payroll. Many users of payroll service providers have asked the question: Why do I spend all of my time entering my company and employee information, then send it away? Why can't I press the Calculate or Print button myself? Oftentimes, that last step of "pressing the button" is the main service that is provided by these bureaus. That ongoing question has finally been answered with the advent of eNETPayroll. eNETPayroll uses Java technology to run applets in a Java-enabled browser (most new browsers are Java-enabled). One of the useful features that the Internet allows for this software is payroll managers can set up accounts for employees who can then, from home on the Internet, view their own payroll information. By the same token, payroll managers from different departments, cities, provinces or countries can go in and enter their payroll information and print locally but the head office will still be able to view this information. If you would like more information about eNETPayroll, please log on to the CPS website at: www.enetpayroll.com.
