December 2, 2004 - Year-End Update Information
CanPay is preparing the final year-end versions of our complete software line. We will be shipping these products to registered users as soon as we implement the year-end changes from the CRA. The CRA usually releases the year-end tax changes no later than mid-December. These releases will incorporate the updated tax tables for the 2005 tax year. Keep checking this page for more information.

February 20, 2004 - Updated T4 Report Templates.
These new report templates correct problems affecting a few customers. Download these new templates if a Crystal Reports error shows when printing T4's.

December 15, 2003 - Year-End Documents available for download.
The CanPay Development Team is poised to release the year-end versions of GrandMaster, GrandMaster II and GrandMaster Suite. Some users have asked for a preview of the year-end documents for each application so we have placed a downloadable copy of each document on our website. Please choose a link from the following list to view the document that corresponds to your specific version of GrandMaster. The documents are stored in the PDF format.

June 5, 2002 - The Payroll News to be Sent in HTML Format
This is a special notice to subscribers of The Payroll News. Future issues of The Payroll News online newsletter will be sent in the HTML format. This means that you will receive the monthly newsletter in full color, complete with formatting, Issue Archives and our Upcoming Events list (instead of the original text-only format).

Watch for the HTML Test Message that will be arriving in your Inbox sometime in the next several weeks. If you receive the full-color message and everything looks OK, then your e-mail program can receive HTML and you're ready to go (you don't have to do a thing). If the HTML message doesn't display properly (e.g. no color, text only, unreadable, etc.), then please send an e-mail to the payrollnews@canpay.com and we'll include your e-mail address on our text-only list and you can continue to receive the newsletter in its original format. March 22, 2002 - Patch Program Now Available!
The CanPay Development Team is happy to announce that GrandMaster Suite updates are now available as downloadable patch programs. You can obtain the latest patch via our Downloads page. Patches are much smaller in size than the complete installation program (they will even fit on a floppy diskette). They save you the time if having to download the entire installation program.

February 11, 2002 - Patches to Decrease Download Times.
GrandMaster Suite is the comprehensive solution for your Canadian payroll requirements. With complete Federal and Provincial/Territiorial support, our program has long outgrown a conventional floppy disk installation and moved to a CD-ROM method. The CD-ROM provides the room for us to include additional tools to help you perform your payroll tasks.

Based on direct feedback from many of our valued GrandMaster Suite users, we are pleased to announce that we will be implementing Patch Programs on our website. This means that you will be able to download the latest program update in the form of a small patch program, instead of having to download the entire installation program. This will save you valuable download time and enable us to provide you with updates in the most efficient manner.

December 20 , 2001 - GrandMaster Suite Version 3.50.00 Now Available
CanPay is proud to announce the Year-end release of the GrandMaster Suite. This release incorporates a number of changes and product enhancements. It also includes the updated tax tables for the 2002 tax year.

December 17, 2001 - GrandMaster II to be released on CD-ROM
All GrandMaster II year-end updates will be shipped on CD-ROM. This means that you will receive both versions of GrandMaster II (DOS and Windows) on the same disk. The increased storage on the CD allows us to provide you with additional information and tools that will help you make the most of your software. If you do not have a CD drive, please contact us immediately and we will arrange to ship you the software on floppy disk.

December 10, 2001 - GrandMaster II for Windows
Thank you to everyone who e-mailed a request for the first release of GrandMaster II for Windows! Many users have already installed the first release and have run test payrolls using the new program. Please continue to send us your feedback - we are striving to make your conversion to the Windows version as easy as possible.

All GrandMaster II users can upgrade to the new Windows version Free of Charge! To receive your copy of GrandMaster II for Windows, please send an e-mail request to sales@canpay.com. The product will be shipped to you on CD-ROM (if you do not have a CD drive, you can download the product from our website).

Since we are shipping the year-end release this week, all GrandMaster II (for DOS) users will automatically receive the DOS update and the new Windows version on the same CD-ROM.

November 15, 2001 - Ontario Tax Changes
Effective October 1, 2001, the Government of Ontario announced provincial tax changes for 2001. The resulting changes to payroll calculations are minor and affect Ontario employees only. All GrandMaster software products have been updated and the latest versions are now available for download on our website. Please visit our Downloads page to obtain this release.

November 2, 2001 - Ontario Tax Changes
Effective October 1, 2001, the Government of Ontario announced provincial tax changes for 2001. Since these changes will affect payroll calculations for Ontario employees, CanPay will be updating all GrandMaster software products. These changes are being incorporated into the latest software versions and will be available for download shortly. Please stay tuned to this News page for the official release announcements.

October 18, 2001 - Vancouver Training Seminars
Thank you to the Vancouver residents who expressed interest in our training seminars planned for November of 2001. Due to recent world events and the subsequent reduced response by many attendees, we must announce that the seminars will not be held at this time. We are, however, planning for a Spring 2002 session in your area. Please watch your e-mail for further announcements and check our Training web page regularly for updates.

September 24, 2001 - CanPay Holds Local Training Seminar
As part of National Payroll Week, CanPay was pleased to hold several training seminars for our GrandMaster software tools! The local seminars were held in Winnipeg on September 20th and 21st at the CanadInn East.

GrandMaster Suite users were shown the latest features of the product and given the opportunity to speak firsthand with members of our Training and Technical Support staff. GrandMaster II users learned some of the finer points of their system and were shown a preview of the upcoming GrandMaster II for Windows (the Beta version is now available).
