GrandMaster

GrandMaster is a character-based payroll package that operates under Microsoft Windows or DOS. It has been designed to meet the needs of the small to medium sized business, but with the ease and convenience you would only expect to find on a large mainframe system. The program is updated regularly with the latest federal and provincial government regulations. On-line, table driven, flexible and complete, from pay cheques to journal entries, GrandMaster automatically handles all the pay to pay chores of payroll accounting. It also takes care of special one time or year-end jobs that normally prove so demanding.

Job Costing
The Job Costing module allows you to enter hours by job and function/phase within a job. You also have the option of entering hourly rates and account numbers for wage distributions on an exception basis. Extensive reports are available to track costs by job and/or by employee and to provide management summaries on the status of jobs, with comparisons to budgets or estimates.

Electronic Funds Transfers
The Electronic Fund Transfers module (EFT) allows you to electronically transfer net payroll amounts directly into an individual employee's bank account, rather than issuing a cheque. General requirements include a modem and communications software on the user's computer, and prior arrangement with your company's bank. The EFT system is flexible and can be setup to work with any banking format.

Bank Reconciliation
The Bank Reconciliation module allows you to accumulate the cheques that have been issued for a number of payrolls into a common database. You can define up to nine different bank reconciliation databases to facilitate different bank accounts. The cheques that have been returned from the bank can then be entered into this file. Reports can be produced for issued and/or outstanding cheques, to facilitate a bank reconciliation.

Fast Calculations - The program will calculate a 100-employee payroll in less than one minute (on a standard Pentium-based computer). ROE's and reports can be produced quickly on any printer.
